Understand. Connect. Act.
My work starts with curiosity. Before deciding what an organization should say or do, I want to understand the people involved, the context, what has changed and what we may be assuming rather than actually know.
It’s a discipline I learned through marketing and carried into executive leadership, strategy and advisory work.
UNDERSTAND
Start with people. Listen, ask questions and challenge assumptions.CONNECT
Turn understanding into relevance. Translate what we’ve learned to what the organization needs to accomplish.ACT
Turn insight into decisions, priorities and execution.Curiosity isn’t just how I see the world. It’s how I work.
-
My work takes different shapes depending on what an organization needs. Current and recent engagements include fractional executive leadership, confidential counsel to CEOs and presidents, market entry and brand strategy, succession and stakeholder strategy, senior marketing counsel, and focused strategic initiatives that need experienced ownership.
Some engagements are advisory. Some are embedded. Some are defined projects with a clear beginning and end.
The roles vary because the needs do.
-
The role depends on what the organization needs.
Sometimes I advise. Sometimes I lead. Often I do some of both.
I can serve as a confidential thought partner to a CEO or president, step into fractional executive leadership, lead a consequential strategic initiative, or work alongside an existing team to move something important forward.
What stays consistent is that I don’t approach the work from a distance. I get close enough to understand the organization, the people and the context, while maintaining enough independence to see things that can be difficult to see from inside.
The goal isn’t to deliver a deck. It’s to create clarity and movement.
-
I tend to be most useful to organizations facing something consequential: growth, change, a new market, a leadership transition, a difficult strategic decision or an initiative that simply needs experienced attention.
I work best with CEOs, presidents and leadership teams who value candor, curiosity and an outside perspective, and who want a partner willing to understand the organization before prescribing an answer.
Industry matters less than the challenge or opportunity in front of us.
-
This work requires real attention.
I intentionally work with only a small number of organizations at a time so I can be responsive, engaged and genuinely invested in the outcome.
Whether I’m serving as an executive advisor, leading from within or owning a strategic initiative, clients aren’t getting a shared bench or a junior team.
They’re getting me.
-
Every engagement is right-sized to the work. Some advisory relationships are lighter-touch, while embedded executive roles may involve one or two days a week, with more intensity during a transition or critical period.
We start by getting clear on the situation, the priorities, my role and what success looks like. From there, I work at the level the engagement requires, advising, leading, facilitating or owning execution.
Ongoing engagements often begin with a three- to six-month commitment. Defined projects may run 60–90 days or as the scope requires.
The goal is the right level of involvement for the work, not a fixed formula.
-
Engagements are structured around the work rather than a standard formula.
Ongoing executive advisory and fractional leadership are typically structured as monthly retainers. Defined strategic initiatives may be project-based.
After an initial conversation, I’ll recommend an approach and prepare a clear Scope of Work outlining the engagement, expectations and fees.
The structure follows the work, not the other way around.
